Our Preschool Day

Outdoor adventures on the preschool trail, outdoor classroom and nature-based classroom programs promote curiosity about the world around them.

Learning to share, take turns, plan, work and play with others promote wonderful life-long skills.

Educational learning through hands-on activities and interactive play teach children their ABC’s, 123’s, colors, shapes and other themes preparing for kindergarten.

Stories, poetry, dramatization and books lead children on adventures and stretch their imagination.

Clay, play-dough, crayons, markers, scissors and other manipulatives aid in the development of small motor skills.

Arts, crafts and painting time explore the creative side of young minds.

Water play in our indoor pool, besides being lots of fun, helps to build self-confidence and coordination.

Our Playball Program, outdoor play, gym time and classroom movement all promote physical fitness, increase large motor skills and develop good sportsmanship.

Our Science and Nature Program promote an interest in the outdoor world, while giving students the opportunity to learn about nature through hands-on activities.

Learning through song and music builds listening and attention skills, in addition to self-expression and cooperation with others.
Three Year Old Classes Have a 7:1 Ratio & Four Year Old Classes Have an 8:1 Ratio
*Children must be “potty-trained” and able to care for self in the restroom.*
3-Year Old Preschool Class
We offer weekly 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day programs for three year olds.
The 2-day program meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45am – 12:00pm.
The 3-day program meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:45am – 12:00pm.
The 5-day program meets Monday through Friday from 8:45am – 12:00pm.
These programs are best suited for three year old children who will be experiencing their first group setting away from parents and will be attending preschool for two years. Our three year olds are provided with a variety of hands-on activities. They learn to respect, work and play with others in a positive environment. Age appropriate activities will be presented to children individually, in small groups and large groups. Skills developed include listening, language development, and small and large motor, dramatic play, creative art, literature, and music.

4-Year Old Preschool Class
We offer weekly 3-day and 5-day programs for four year olds.
The 3-day program meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:45am – 12:30pm.
The 5-day program meets Monday through Friday from 8:45am – 12:30pm.
Our four and five year old children are provided with a variety of activities that develop kindergarten readiness. Activities include listening, language development, problem solving, group interaction, letter and sound recognition, counting and number recognition along with small and large motor activities, dramatic play, creative art, literature and music. These age appropriate activities are presented to children individually, in small and large groups. Skills presented in group activities include respect, sharing, listening, cooperation and problem solving. Teachers offer direct instruction and positive feedback to guide the children throughout the day.
